Congregational Care Notes
With Pastor Larry OwenEPHESIANS 3:19a, "May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it."I wish you could have known me when I was 21 years old. I knew everything. Now that I'm 60, I admit that I don't fully understand anything. But PRAISE GOD I've experienced the love of Christ, and though I don't really understand it, I recognize it when I see it. I recognize it in YOU when I see you greet one another on Sundays. I see it in your eyes as you care for those who are in pain. The thing about Christ's love is that it constantly seeks expression. Congregational Care is the love of Christ flowing out of grateful hearts. Pastors can't do all the work of the ministry, it's done by men and women and girls and boys (called the "congregation") who have experienced real Love. Sweet! Let His love lead you this week!!! | <>>

| Friendly or Not Friendly: Making Guests Feel at HomeWithin the first few minutes of stepping onto a church campus, people have formed a first impression. Along with our First Impressions Team that does a fantastic job welcoming folks to MHCC, each of us in the MHCC family has a part to play in creating an atmosphere that says, "We're glad you're with us." It's no secret that when people find a church to be friendly, they are more likely to come back again. But can you guess the "magic" 10-minute window during which people typically decide whether a church is friendly or unfriendly? According to a study by Church Growth Institute, it's the first 10 minutes following the service. SO...to ensure that everyone who comes to MHCC makes a friendly connection, commit to a handshake or "hello" to someone you don't know each week, especially in those moments following the service. AND...consider serving 15 minutes a month as a Connection Center Host. Guests come to the Connection Center to pick up their gift bags, and many have returned to MHCC because they had a conversation with the Connection Center Host. If you're a people person, you will be in hog heaven! Contact Lisa Espinoza (

Monday Night Young Adults Ministry Thank you to everyone that participated in the "Dream Dress Drive".
We were able to donate 15 dresses & two pairs of shoes to help girls have the opportunity to attend their Junior/Senior Prom. What an amazing opportunity we had to share God's love through a simple evening dress. Thanks again!
We had the privealage of having Pastor Mike come & speak with our group a couple of weeks ago on the giftings & baptism of the Holy Spirit. We each walked away challenged to look at how the Holy
Spirit is speaking to and through us. What an amazing time of
worship, teaching & prayer we had together. Thank you so much Pastor Mike.
Please come and join us this month, as our very own Kristina Novikoff brings the Word this week, Monday- May 5th and Geoff Wachli shares what God has placed on his heart
Monday- May 19th. We look forward to seeing you! | <>>

Frontline Men's MinistryHi Men,Get ready for the upcoming MHCC 500 Gran Prix. The event will be on Wednesday evening June 4th. Be looking for more details in the coming weeks. In the coming weeks, it won't hurt to practice, but just make sure that you aren't practicing in the family minivan. Our next men's breakfast will be in the month of July and I will be finishing the teaching we started at the last breakfast on signs of the end times and an explanation of the rapture! I hope to see all of you at the upcoming events. If you are still interested in softball contact Len West on Sunday mornings, or if you are interested in joining our men's biking club, contact Craig Turner. Blessings to all of you and don't hesitate to come up to me and introduce yourself or if you just need me to answer some questions for you. It is going to be a great summer in Christ! David DeZarn
