Lifeline logoWith summer approaching everyone's schedules seem to change. Kids are out of school, we're on vacation, our schedules are suddenly a bit more unplanned. The break from a rigid schedule is good for us but we also feel less connected to those we see and connect with weekly at Bible Studies, MOPS or coffee times. To stay connected between June and September Lifeline will be scheduling several "Girl's Night Out" evenings to ensure that YOU STAY CONNECTED and SANE!  Be watching for these dates in 2 weeks.PLUS don't forget our next breakfast June 21st. Tickets go on sale MAY 18th!! Janelle West (our Worship Pastor is Janelle's husband) will be our guest speaker. Don't miss this special pancake breakfast!!

Monday Night Young Adults Ministry Here is an amazing opportunity that we have to partner with some people in making a simple dream come true for high school girls all over Orange County!  Many of you might be in the same frame of mind that I was.  You have in your closet formal, semi-formal dresses from past dances, weddings etc and you don't want to part with them because of that off chance you might wear them again.   A lady by the name of Elizabeth Orozco, is partnering with some other ladies to collect formal, semi-formal dresses, shoes & accessories to help make dreams come true for girls who want to attend their prom but because of financial situations may not be able to afford it.   Please take a moment to check out this website, and hear the hearts of these ladies.  How could you not want to help?!  www.dreamdressdrive.com  (click on dream dress drive at the top of the page)

Young Adult Ministry is planning on being at Mission Hills Community Church on Wednesday Evening, April 30th from 7:00-8:00 in the cul-de-sac of Aventura, collecting dry cleaned dresses, shoes & accessories.  I would love to see you there!  If you have any further questions or that date simply does not work but you want to be involved, please feel free to let me know.  Many Blessings,
Amanda Blake

Congregational Care Notes
With Pastor Larry Owen
EPHESIANS 3:18, "And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love really is."
How wide can God open His arms?  How long have you been suffering?  How high is God's throne?  How deep is your despair?  That should be the width, length, height, and depth of Congregational Care.
How wide are your arms?

Frontline Men's MinistryHello from Frontline Men's Ministry!
We had a great time at the men's breakfast this last week and I wanted to say thanks to all of you who were able to attend and I hope that you were blessed by our time in the Word.  Our next breakfast will be in the month of July and I will look forward to seeing all of you there.  Our next event on the men's calendar is the upcoming MHCC Grand Prix that will be held on Wednesday night, June 4th.  More details will be forthcoming, but one thing I can promise; we will have a total blast.  Also, it is never too early to sign up for the men's retreat and to save that time on your calendar for a weekend to meet with our Lord and fellowship with your brothers.  Those dates are firm and set for October 3rd-5th.  I want to thank all of you who have been joining the church for a year of powerful prayer.  As we can all attest to, our God is faithful.  Please continue to pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ.  There are so many, but I wanted to mention a few to you.  Ron Anderson is undergoing surgery to have his spleen removed even as I am typing these words.  Glen Latham is undergoing chemotherapy to finish off the last little bit of cancer.  Please pray for these brothers and all of the others that the Lord brings to your remembrance.  We are an example.  They will know us by our "love one for another!"

Blessings to all of you,
David DeZarn
Men's Ministry Director

Weekly Devotion"For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." 1 Peter 3:12Peter is quoting from Psalm 34:15 & 16 and goes on to say: "The face of the LORD is against evildoers, To cut off the memory of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all." God is holy and is serious in His condemnation of sin."Your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God." (Isaiah 59:2) But the righteous are under God's special favor and protection. He listens to their prayers. When we are in a crisis, we can cry out to God and He hears and answers our prayer. It may not always be the answer that we want, but according to these verses, we can be sure He hears us if we are His righteous ones. These verses suggest that we will have problems. "Many are the afflictions of the righteous..." But God hears the prayers of a broken and humbled heart, and He delivers us out of all of our problems, working them for our good.Author: Diane Oberholtzer
