Congregational Care Notes
With Pastor Larry Owen
EPHESIANS 3:17, "...May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love." Roots are for feeding and for anchoring.  Are you feeding on God's marvelous love?  (It's written clearly in God's Word.)  When the winds of hatred, misunderstanding or prejudice blow against you - does God's marvelous love hold you securely? What happens privately and quietly in the root system is clearly evident in the leaves.  Do you have expressions of the fruit of the Spirit and marvelous works of love?  Congregational Care is the outgrowth of people who feed and abide in God's love.  Is that you?  Can you prove it?

Frontline Men's MinistryGreetings from Frontline Men's Ministry here at MHCC.  Our upcoming men's breakfast is taking place this Saturday, April 26th at Tijeras Creek Golf Club and I am really looking forward to seeing all of you there.  We are going to be having good food and fellowship and spending some great time discussing God's word and what it has to say about the times in which we live.  It would be a great time to bring friends or family members who you think would be interested to know that these are times that the bible has more to say than any other time in history.  We are living in times where it is very hard to look at certain events and say "oh, that is just a coincidence."  A great line in one of my favorite movies is said by a character named Gandalf where he is describing the circumstances the people of his world are facing.  "The board is set, the pieces are moving!"  There was an understanding of the inevitability of their situation.  That is what we are facing today!  If you haven't signed up yet, call the church office or show up on Saturday morning.  We will make room for you.  The cost is $10 and the food is good.  I look forward to seeing you there.David DeZarn
